The Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has held a two-day security orientation for security personnel and staff of the Commission who will be participating in this year’s pilgrimage.
The event, which took place at the Conference Hall of the FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja between 11th to 12th November, 2016, attracted very high profile security personnel drawn from the Armed Forces and relevant security agencies.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Security of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja stated that security remains the most important thing people could have. He explained that safety of pilgrims is very critical to the commission and there is need to explore the network of partnership with different arms that work with the commission to ensure a hitch-free 2016 pilgrimage.
Rev. Uja, who reiterated the theme of the security orientation which is “Keeping Nigerians Safe Home and Abroad”, stressed that he would want Nigerians to be safe, not only in Nigeria but abroad.
