The second semi-final match of this year’s men Federation Cup competition will now take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Saturday, 15th October 2016.
On Monday, NFF’s Head of Federation Cup, Emmanuel Adesanya, said that the Oyo State Football Association wrote to the NFF to request for the shift from the earlier date of Sunday, 9th October, stating that the Oyo State Government would make use of the venue on Saturday, 8th October and Sunday, 9th October.
The match is between two–time CAF Champions League winners and seven–time Nigerian champions Enyimba FC of Aba and Nasarawa United of Lafia, which was only a step away from the group phase of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.
NFF 1st Vice President and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi have approved the new date.
