    Billionaire populist Donald Trump today, defeated Hillary Clinton in a historic US presidential election .
    Donald Trump won the presidential election early Wednesday, after US networks projected him the winner of the vote in Wisconsin.
    His victory in the midwestern state, with its 10 electoral votes, gave him 288 electoral votes while Clinton won 215.
