Some of the internal problems besieging the All Progressives Congress (APC) have begun to transit to full blown problems. Recall that there is currently a raging war between the national chairman of the party John Odigie Oyegun and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, one of the party’s chieftains. However, there have
been lingering problems within the party, as most of the key payers in the party have been sidelined by the President Muhammadu Buhari and Nasir El Rufai faction.
This had led former vice president Atiku Abubakar and his faithfuls to commence plans for a break away from the party, and the formation of their own political party. A source close to Atiku stated that the former vice president held a secret meeting with his faithfuls on Saturday the 1st of October, to discuss the way forward.
It is also rumoured that the disgruntled Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his faction will also break away to form their own political party.
With the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also having their own issues, almost resolved it is expected that Atiku’s may also go back to his original political party
