It was a sold-out event, as music and art lovers of all age groups trooped out to witness Blessing Tangban’s maiden album launch, presented by Freedom Hall, over the weekend at Gwarinpa, Abuja. The show which was anchored by Torpedo Mascaw and Mc Bluetooth from Wazobia FM, treated guests to music, poetry and comedy, amongst others.
Entertainment and arts personalities such as Ruby Gyang (Chocolate City Records label signee), Jessica Bongos, Frankie Walter, Michael Ogah, The Isomers, Bash, Rudold Adidi, Deji, Ige, Amuneni, among others, all came out to perform and show support to one of their own.
The hall also had her family and government functionaries, including commissioners and honorable members from Cross Rivers state and the Governor, Ben Ayade, represented by the SA to the Cross Rivers state Governor on events, in the person of Mr Ken,Aklah all in attendance. They all pledged their full support to Blessing’s career.
One of the high points of the event was when a section of the audience had tears rolling down their cheeks as the 23-year-old Afro-folk artist performed from the 7-track album.
The album, titled Free, projects scenarios from everyday life, as she tells stories of love, comfort, hope, longing and all things that make us human.
