Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has married the daughter of late Senegalese scholar and Tijjaniya caliph, Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse.
According to an online Hausa publication, Rariya, the marriage of Sheikh Bauchi and Sayyida Rahama Niasse was officiated by Sheikh Baba Laminu Niasse in Kaolack, Senegal.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi took his first bride in 1948 and had 61 children, according to a 2013 report.
