Pencom sensitizes retirees on pension benefits

 

Trustfund Pencom Service yesterday brainstormed and sensitized their retirees on pension scheme benefits in Kaduna State.

According to them, there is need to educate the retirees because there are people are deceived them to sign on programs that they are not aware of.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the sensitization workshop, Kaduna Zonal Manager of Trustfund Pencom, Alhassan Asuba said there held the workshop to enlighten their retirees to be careful befoore signed any arrangement.

"Some Nigerians retirees are ignorant of the program they sign with Pension scheme so We are here to here to educate our retirees under our pension scheme to understand the kind of arrangement they are in. It’s important for retirees to know what value d scheme will add to their lives.

"We are aware of the economic situation in the country. It is better for retirees to have something no matter how merger than having nothing at the end of the month.

"Those who get small amount at the end of the month are better than those of their colleagues that are getting nothing. We understand their worries.

The Regional Manager appealed to people going into retirement to always. Seek proper education about the pension scheme before signing.

Some of the retirees who spoke with our correspondent complained about the pension given to them by Trustfund, describing it as meager. They equally called on the management of the company to add to their money or give them their money in bulk to enable them invest in a business.
